Description
The Sternal strap is a support for post-operative follow-up after cardiovascular surgery.
It allows to exert a uniform pressure on the whole treated area.
It is intended to prevent the creation of postoperative hypertrophic scars.
The compression is adjusted using the shoulder Velcro® and the side Velcro®. If the sternal area is particularly concave, the addition of a foam supplied with the Sternal strap allows for optimal compression.
For optimal effectiveness, the application of Sternal strap is done immediately after the operation. The duration of application depends on the medical prescription.
The first application must be done by a health professional.
COMPOSITION
79% Polyamide – 21 % Elastane
CARE :
Machine wash at 30°C maximum with a natural soap-based detergent. Do not use a tumble dryer. It is recommended to wash the garment before wearing it for the first time.
CONTRAINDICATIONS :
The Sternal strap must not be worn directly on injured skin.
One size fits all and available in men’s and women’s models.
